As of the time of writing, according to review aggregator Metacritic, the PC version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 received a Metascore of 65 points based on 25 critic reviews, and the title’s version for PlayStation 5 got a Metascore of 65 points based on 22 critic reviews while on Steam the game has “Mixed” rating with 1,872 reviews
Published by Paradox Interactive, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs, but by 2021 had been moved to The Chinese Room and was postponed multiple times since it was officially announced in 2019. On top of that, The Chinese Room was affected by layoffs and became independent from Sumo Digital a couple of months before the game’s launch.
Released for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X|S, the game follows the story of an elder vampire living in 21st-century Seattle, who must choose a clan, each offering unique vampiric abilities, while feeding on mortals and avoiding discovery.
