Valve rolled out the Steam Personalized Calendar, designed to help players find their next favorite game, on Oct. 21, 2025.

Announced via a post in Steam News, the feature was launched in the form of a Steam Labs experiment, as, according to the developers, they are seeking feedback to make the best possible version of the tool.

Steam Personalized Calendar finds users with similar playtime profiles and picks titles from their wishlists to offer players with analogous taste in games.

The tool focuses on the games that a user plays the most (relative to other players) and spends the most time in. Testing the waters for just a few minutes in a title of any genre won’t significantly impact recommendations, but investing substantial time in some of the games will.

According to the developers, the system gets retrained daily to incorporate the latest data.

New titles that match the user’s profile will pop up in recommendations as soon as they lock in a release date on Steam.

Steam Personalized Calendar provides a list of up to 500 games in three time frames: released in the last month, released in the last seven days and upcoming.

The titles can be sorted via the tag selector, with options to hide owned games and show only wishlisted ones.
