Legend of Ymir details combat in new gameplay trailer ahead of launch

South Korean Web3 MMORPG Legend of Ymir revealed a new gameplay trailer presenting combat in detail ahead of its launch set for Oct. 28, 2025, for Windows PC, as well as Android and iOS platforms.

Styled as a dark reimagining of Norse mythology and set during the events leading up to Ragnarok, the game is a third-person action RPG where players control the hero of a chosen class Völva, Warlord, Skald, Orb and Berserker) and race (Aesirs, Vanirs, Jotunns, Humans, Alves, and Dwarves).

The fighting system in the game features combo-based attack mechanics that reward mastery and timing, involving a variety of offensive and defensive techniques. Light attacks in Legend of Ymir are quick strikes that can be chained into combos, making them effective for dealing consistent damage, while heavy attacks are slower but more powerful, capable of breaking through enemy defenses.

On the defensive side, players can block incoming attacks using a shield or their weapon, with timing being crucial, as perfectly timed blocks can stagger enemies and create openings for counterattacks. Dodging or rolling is also an essential tactic, especially when facing bosses, as it helps avoid heavy hits.

Created by WeMade, the studio behind the Mir series, and its Web3 arm, Wemix, Legend of Ymir integrates with the Wemix ecosystem via an in-game rewards token called G-Wemix, which is pegged 1:1 to Wemix’s native coin of the same name, Wemix.

Notably, Legend of Ymir surpassed 1 million pre-registrations a month ahead of launch, as was reported by Gaming.News.
