Revival of the 1980s home video game console Intellivision was presented by Atari on Oct. 17, 2025.

The original console was released by Mattel Electronics in 1979, and by 1981, brought the company close to 20% of the domestic video game market, with more than 3.75 million consoles sold along with 20 million cartridges through 1983.

INTELLIVISION SPRINT | Announce Trailer

On May 23, 2024, Atari acquired the Intellivision brand and library from Intellivision Entertainment. The first Intellivision console by Atari, named Intellivision Sprint, retains the retro aesthetics of the original, along with major updates such as wireless controllers.

There are 45 built-in games on board the Intellivision Sprint, including Armour Battle, Astrosmash, Auto Racing, B-17 Bomber, Baseball, Body Slam: Super Pro Wrestling, Bomb Squad, Boulder Dash, Bowling, Buzz Bombers, Chip Shot: Super Pro Golf, Deep Pockets: Super Pro Pool & Billiards, Frog Bog, Golf, Hover Force, King of the Mountain, Motocross, Mountain Madness: Super Pro Skiing, Night Stalker, Pinball, Reversi, Sea Battle, Shark! Shark!, Slam Dunk: Super Pro Basketball, Slap Shot: Super Pro Hockey, Snafu, Soccer, Space Armada, Space Battle, Space Spartans, Spiker!: Super Pro Volleyball, Stadium Mud Buggies, Star Strike, Sub Hunt, Super Pro Decathlon, Super Pro Football, Takeover, Tennis, Thin Ice, Thunder Castle, Tower of Doom, Triple Action (Racing Cars / Biplanes / Battle Tanks), Triple Challenge (Chess / Checkers / Backgammon), Utopia, and Vectron.

The renewed console also received HDMI output for connection to modern TVs and monitors, and a USB-A port, which can connect original Intellivision I and II controllers (with adapter) and can also be used to play additional games.

Available for pre-order at $150, the console is planned for shipping on Dec. 5, 2025.
