On Oct. 16, 2025, indie developer One More Time revealed its newest game in development, Kaiju Cleaner Simulator. The developers call the game a “hilarious cooperative simulator” that puts players in the shoes of a cleanup team tasked with restoring cities after the fiercest battles with giant monsters.
The press release mentioned that while the game can be played solo, it truly shines when played with friends. Four players can make the job quickly by designating roles such as machine operation and organ harvesting, making the run a little bit more efficient.
The developers seemed to have been inspired by the manga Kaiju No.8, as they said that after watching its anime adaptation, they thought that “maybe being a kaiju cleaner is even tougher than being their exterminator.” They added, “It’s a job for real tough guys. Our game is for those who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty and turn chaos into fun.”
As of the writing of this article, the game still has no definite release date. However, the developers are gearing up for an upcoming playtest, which is expected to happen in early 2026. Kaiju Cleaner Simulator is from the developers of Tavern Manager Simulator, a game on Steam currently celebrating a very positive review score.
