It seems like the corporation behind the Nintendo Switch 2 expects demand to rise during the winter holiday period and then remain steady into the new year.
As of Aug. 1, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold 6 million units since its launch on June 5, 2025, while its predecessor saw roughly 4.7 million units sold in the first two months.
The main risks for the Nintendo Switch 2 remain from US tariffs that may affect the console’s pricing, and the company might need to follow Microsoft Gaming and Sony Entertainment in raising US prices of its consoles.
