A new Dissidia Final Fantasy game was officially revealed by its publisher, Square Enix, as a mobile installment set for release in 2026.

Titled Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, the latest entry in the Dissidia series is slated for launch on both Android and iOS platforms.

Developed by NHN PlayArt, the game will be a free-to-play (with in-app purchases) 3v3 team boss battle arena.

Along with the reveal, sign-ups for the Android closed beta test were opened, with application acceptance continuing until Oct. 25, 2025.

The story of Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy unfolds in modern Tokyo as a giant blue-glowing crystal appears in the city, attracting strange monsters from a mysterious, menacing energy polluting the crystal and terrorizing the city.

According to the title’s official website, it will feature at least 10 playable characters: Warrior of Light, Krile Mayer Baldesion, Cloud Strife, Zidane Tribal, Gaia, Kain Highwind, Terra Branford, Rinoa Heartilly, Lightning and Prompto Argentum.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will become the fifth title in the series, following 2008’s Dissidia Final Fantasy, 2011’s Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, 2017’s Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia and 2018’s Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
