Battlefield 6 cheaters using Cronus Zen are receiving temporary bans for abusing the game using cheating hardware, according to online reports.

Cronus Zen is a device that allows players to modify their controllers and run scripts to gain an unfair advantage in games. Some examples of the cheats that Cronus Zen enables include increased aim assist, rapid-fire mods and even zero-recoil macros. It is usable on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

While the full scope of the effectiveness of such anti-cheat measures remains unclear, it seems to be a result of the partnership of the Battlefield 6 development team with Sony and Microsoft, aiming to improve the detection of cheating, which was revealed a couple of weeks before the title’s official launch.

Notably, while being aware of cheating within the console space, Battlefield 6 developers also implemented anti-cheat measures for Windows PC players, making Secure Boot mandatory for the game.

The 18th installment in the Battlefield series features a multiplayer mode alon with a single-player campaign set in 2027, centered around a conflict between a fractured NATO and a private military company, Pax Armata.
