Pathologic 3 released a new demo as a part of the Steam Next Fest event on Oct. 13. The demo is a 1-2 hour slice from the beginning of the full game; the predecessor, Pathologic 3: Quarantine, no longer accurately represents the opening mechanics of the final game. This demo was a prologue demo that was initially released in March but has since been delisted to make way for the newer iteration of the demo.
The full game is scheduled to release on Jan. 9, 2026, launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. No price point for the game developed by HypeTrain Digital is currently available. The game is a psychological horror survival RPG where the player controls a doctor with 12 days to save a town from a mysterious illness, with the ability to rewind time to correct prior mistakes.
Within the blog post announcing the demo, the developers urge players to download the demo right away, even if they’re avoiding spoilers and plan to play only the full game.
“The more people who download the game, the higher it rises in the algorithms, and the more Next Fest visitors will see it. It costs you nothing but time and disk space, and it helps us a lot,” they stated.
