Griffin Gaming Partners acquired Playdigious for $12.2 million in an all-cash deal; Playdigious is an indie publisher that was owned by Swedish company Fragbite. As are the terms of the deal, Fragbite will retain 90% of the net revenue generated from Playdigious Originals’ preexisting PC catalog, which includes Crown Gambit, Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson, The Almost Gone, Linkito, and more. All the mentioned titles are available via PC, while The Almost Gone is also released on mobile and Nintendo Switch.
Griffin Gaming Partners paid cash to acquire all shares in Playdigious, alongside all the company’s assets and game publishing rights. CEO of Fragbite, Stefan Tengvall, stated that the acquisition was indicative of a successful investment.
“We now got the opportunity to divest the subsidiary in a favorable deal that allows us to secure a strong capital position, evolve Fragbite Group further and support new strategic initiatives such as the Bitcoin Treasury initiative,” Tengvall said.
Playdigious Originals is known for creating mobile ports, bringing critically acclaimed PC and console titles to smartphones. They previously ported Chants of Sennaar and Loop Hero. Chants of Sennaar was initially released on PC and consoles in 2023, later receiving a port to mobile in 2025. As for Loop Hero, it was initially released in 2021 for PC, receiving a mobile port later in 2024.
