97% of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 early access beta cheaters banned within 30 minutes, according to Activision

On Oct. 6, 2025, Activision published an anti-cheat update regarding the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 early access beta, saying that 97% of cheaters who have managed to access the game were banned within 30 minutes.
According to them, their new Ricochet Anti-Cheat was able to protect the integrity of every match. Aside from the 97% of cheaters being banned quickly, the developers also mentioned that “fewer than 1% of cheating attempts reached a match, and those who did were removed within minutes.”
Additionally, they also addressed the clips of cheaters being able to play in games and said that they had “already actioned on most of those accounts before social media. We’re watching closely, acting in real time, and learning from every attempt.”
The developers also pointed out that major cheat vendors have declared their software as unusable or detected, saying that they are not only disabling their cheats, but also hitting hard on their businesses as well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is expected to come out on Nov. 14, 2025. It will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Activision ran an open beta test on Oct. 2 and will end on Oct. 8.
