On Oct. 4, 2025, the developers of Kingmakers announced that they are delaying the game until they “feel good about charging money for it.” The developers published a statement accompanying the announcement.
“After much contemplation, we realize that the scheduled Kingmakers launch on October 8 will no longer be possible,” said the developers. They then apologized to the fans because they knew they were “eagerly anticipating” the game.
The developers pointed out that they want the game to come out as a full package. “It’s an incredibly ambitious, uncompromising game, and we don’t want to cut any planned features, for the sake of getting out the door earlier.”
They also mentioned that they want players to feel enthralled and feel like their money was well spent, regardless of what kind of PC they have. They also pointed out that their team is 80% engineers and that they are setting out to “push the Unreal Engine 4 to its absolute limits, while still providing true 60fps to midrange PCs, without the need for fake frames.”
Kingmakers is a medieval third-person shooter game where players will take control of a person who was thrown back in time. Players will be able to fight against helpless medieval knights with their assault rifles, cars and tanks.
