Season 1 of Battlefield 6, which will be the title’s first major free update, will bring new maps, modes, weapons, and more on Oct. 28, 2025 across all platforms.
The first season will kick off with Rogue Ops, a challenge that will task squads to use their ingenuity to win on the new map, Blackwell Fields, and then, on Nov. 18, 2025, the California Resistance will start on the Eastwood map, followed by Winter Offensive on Dec. 9, 2025, at Ice Lock Empire State.

Besides that, Strikepoint mode, designed for 4v4 combat, will be added to the game. There will be only one life per round.
Also, Battlefield 6 will receive the land vehicle APC Traverser Mark 2, which seats one driver, one roof gunner, and two backseat passenger-side gunners, serving mostly as an infantry support vehicle.
Season 1 will also bring to the game the SOR-300C carbine rifle, GGH-22 pistol, Mini Fix sniper rifle, the Rail Cover, and the Low Powered Variable Optic, compatible with a variety of rifles and light machine guns.
Published by Electronic Arts and developed by Battlefield Studios, which includes DICE, Ripple Effect, Motive, and Criterion, Battlefield 6 will become the 18th installment in the series.
The game is set for release on Oct. 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
The title will feature a single-player campaign set in 2027, centered around a conflict between a fractured NATO and a private military company, Pax Armata, as well as a multiplayer mode with four playable classes: Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon.
On Aug. 9, 2025, Battlefield 6’s open beta was confirmed by EA as the biggest in the franchise despite Secure Boot issues and long queues.
