EA offers first look at Battlefield 6’s single-player campaign

The Sept. 24, 2025, Sony State of Play offered a first look at Battlefield 6’s single-player campaign through a trailer and a press release available on the PlayStation Blog. According to the developers, the campaign will take players to fight across three continents.
The single-player campaign focuses on Dagger 13, an elite Marine Raiders unit determined to stop a private military corporation called Pax Armata. It has four members, each a different class that players can choose from in the game’s multiplayer modes.
According to the developers, players will control each of the characters in the campaign as they finish missions. The press release said, “True to Battlefield, your squad is the key to accomplishing your mission in Single Player,” and also added that the characters you don’t control can be given commands.
The game has also departed from the War Stories episodes of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V. Battlefield 6 has returned to a singular narrative.
Battlefield 6 is coming out on Oct. 10, 2025, for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. When interviewed earlier this month, the developers revealed that the game’s impressive optimization was due to their making sure the game runs perfectly on Xbox Series S.
