Alan Wake II Takes Center Stage in October’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games

The recent State of Play that happened on Sept. 24, 2025, not only featured unreleased games, but it also had certain announcements regarding PlayStation Plus, and one of them is that Alan Wake II is part of the subscription service’s monthly games.
This means that even those who are only subscribed to the Essential plan will have access to Alan Wake II. Aside from it, two other games, Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3, are also being given away by PlayStation.
Aside from the aforementioned three games, Sony is also celebrating The Last of Us Day, which occurs on Sept. 26 each year, by adding The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
The PlayStation Plus Premium Classics also gets some love from Sony this month as fighting game fans should appreciate Tekken 3 and SoulCalibur III being added to it. Additionally, Tomb Raider Anniversary from the PS2 is also being added to the range.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription service, which allows players to play games from its catalog and access the online services of certain games. There are three tiers of subscription: Essential, Extra and Premium. Only the Premium tier has access to the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics.
