Steam granted the first-ever “Game Collector: 40,000+” badge on Sept. 23, 2025, to a user from China under the nickname Sonix.

As of the time of writing, Sonix owns 40,029 titles on Valve’s platforms, which have been collected over a 15-year period since the account was created on July 25, 2010.

With this unique achievement, Sonix topped the leaderboard of game owners on SteamDB, followed by US user Ian Brandon Anderson, who has 39,502 titles in his catalog.

As his favorite game, Sonix lists Valve’s multiplayer top-down shooter Alien Swarm, where he spent 551 hours and collected all 66 achievements. Regarding other titles with 100% completion, Sonix has 34 games in total, including Beyond Gravity and Go Home Dinosaurs!.

Besides that, the first Steam Game Collector: 40,000+ spent about 255 hours in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

According to HowLongToBeat Your Steam Collection portal, it would take 2,461 days to complete Sonix’s current collection, which is almost seven years.

Sonix has left 20 reviews, most of them positive, except for Coronavirus Attack.

Notably, SteamDB lists the value of the record holder’s account as $250,041, while the total value of all the games he owns is projected at $644,904.
