On Sept. 23, 2025, Sloclap announced Rematch’s Season 1 updates, which included heavily requested features such as the 3v3 ranked game mode and fixes to player movement. The season starts today, but the developers haven’t shared an end date.
Regarding player movement, the developers said they’ve improved reactivity and precision while nerfing exploits such as the Ippy Slide. Goalkeeper dives have also been reworked to make them more effective against volleys.
The developers have also fine-tuned the matchmaking and ranked pairing mechanics for fairer competition, saying, “Skill-based matchmaking parameters are now stricter, especially in ranked matches, ensuring more evenly matched teams.”
The press release also provided some insight into the game’s future. The developers said that the October patch will feature two major changes in the ranked system, which are league demotion and dynamic rank points. They said that these features are “designed to ensure that league placement more accurately reflects each player’s current level.”
Aside from these, the developers are also celebrating the game reaching over 6 million players, over 100 million hours and 525 million matches played. They also acknowledged the emerging competitive scene for the game.
