Insomniac Games’ and Marvel’s Wolverine was finally revealed, with various cinematic shots and gameplay footage showcased during Sony’s State of Play. The story-driven action RPG game is scheduled to release in Fall of 2026, with no exact release date disclosed.
Within the gameplay trailer, Wolverine is shown hacking and slashing through his enemies, blood splattering everywhere.
Insomniac Games created the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, which provided an engaging world full of life and vibrant architecture. It appears Marvel’s Wolverine shares a similar design philosophy, indicated in the “Behind The Claws” trailer.
“You’ll see the Canadian wilderness. You’ll see Japan,” Executive Producer Eric Monacelli said in the video.
“There’s a shot where Logan is sliding down that rooftop, and you can see the breadth of Madraore and Low Town,” Project Director at Insomniac Games Jess Reiner-Reed continued, highlighting the game’s vibrant backgrounds and settings.
Liam McIntyre plays Logan in the upcoming video game. Both the gameplay trailer and the Behind the Claws video were released on Sept. 24, 2025, during Sony’s State of Play presentation.
