Rockstar Games and Nopixel officially partnered up to create Nopixel V, an announcement made on Sept. 23, 2025. GTA V players will be able to access Nopixel V directly from the Rockstar Games launcher and other PC platforms. The exact impact of Rockstar Games’ influence on the RP server is not yet known. More information will be posted on the official Nopixel website; a brief trailer was debuted to accompany the partnership announcement.
There have been reports of Rockstar Games searching for a way to add an age check in GTA Online, implemented by region. The reports added that not being able to verify a player’s age might lead to certain features such as phone messages, text chat and Snapmatic being blocked until they pass the age verification.
Nopixel is one of GTA V’s most popular roleplay (RP) servers, focusing on character-driven stories in the city of Los Santos. Within Nopixel, players can RP as almost any role; the server’s strict rules help ensure players stay in character, thereby allowing for an immersive experience.
Despite having been released more than 10 years ago, GTA V was one of the all-time best-selling games on PlayStation platforms in the US from Jan. 1995 to July 2025, leading in both revenue and number of units sold.
