The comedy-adventure platformer Baby Steps was released globally on Sept. 23, 2025, following a slight strategic delay due to the release of the so-called “Grand Theft Auto VI of indies,” Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Developed by the creators of Ape Out and Getting Over It, Gabe Cuzzillo, Maxi Boch and Bennett Foddy, and published by Devolver Digital, the game became available on Windows PC, Steam Deck via Steam and PlayStation 5.
The physics-based walking simulator allows players to assume control over Nate, an unemployed failson, as he discovers a power he never knew he had: putting one foot in front of the other and embarking on an adventure of exploring a world shrouded in mist.
The title’s Steam page lists Windows 11 (64-bit) as the recommended PC system requirement, along with an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, 16 GB of RAM, a GPU, such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 5700, and 19 GB of available storage.
