  2. The game’s developers also implement anti-cheat measures for Windows PC players, making Secure Boot mandatory for the game.
  3. Battlefield 6 is slated for release on Oct. 10, 2025.

The Battlefield 6 developing team entered the partnership with Sony and Microsoft, aiming at better detection of things like Cronus Zen on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, revealed in talks with PushSquare Ripple Effect’s Technical Director Christian Buhl.

Cronus Zen is a device that allows users to modify their controllers and run scripts to gain an unfair advantage in games. Some examples of the cheats that Cronus Zen enables include increased aim assist, rapid-fire mods, and even zero-recoil macros.

“Yeah, it’s unfortunate that cheating has become a problem within the console space, especially with Cronus Zen machines and everything,” said Buhl. “We want to preserve as much of the fair play and competitive integrity that we can, because at the end of the day, we want to ensure that you’re having a fair competitive space to play Battlefield 6 in.”

Notably, Battlefield 6 developers also implement anti-cheat measures for Windows PC players, making Secure Boot mandatory for the game.
