Key points
- Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has added the Lasombra and Toreador clans to the base game.
- The two clans were the main subject of the player backlash that the developers received.

Paradox Interactive, White Wolf and The Chinese Room announced on Sept. 17, 2025, that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’s base game will now include the Lasombra and Toreador clans.
The two clans were central to the player backlash the developers received last month, as fans learned that the developers initially intended to have the two of them locked behind a paid DLC.
This led to the developers publishing an X post, saying they are listening to the criticism regarding the Lasombra and Toreador clan access. Half a month later, the developers revealed that the two clans would now be included in the base game.
Additionally, the developers also revealed that two new story packs will be released: The Loose Cannon in Q2 2026 and The Flower & The Flame in Q3 2026. Santa Monica Memories was also mentioned, which will be a day-one cosmetic pack with decor items inspired by the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released on Oct. 21, 2025, for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is the sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, a game released in 2004 and a part of the World of Darkness series.
