Shape of Dreams Tops 300K Units Sold Within Its First Week

On Sept. 17, 2025, a press release revealed that Shape of Dreams had sold more than 300,000 copies in its first week of release. The game had a peak of concurrent users of 45,000 on Steam and has ranked in Steam’s Global Top Sellers.
While the press release mentioned that the game has reached number 4 in the aforementioned global top seller chart, SteamDB recorded that the game has only reached 10th place in the global top sellers of the week ending on Sept. 16, 2025.
On its first day of release, the developers of Shape of Dreams announced that the game had sold more than 100,000 copies, and that the milestone was only the start of the game’s evolution with its players.
Regarding the 300,000 milestone, co-founder and CEO of Lizard Smoothie, Eunsop Shim, gave a message. “We’re deeply thankful to players worldwide for embracing the kind of roguelike action experience we’ve always dreamed of making.”
As mentioned, Shape of Dreams is a roguelike game that can be played either solo or with friends. Players can choose between eight characters and build them using more than 150 memories and essences to fit the kind of playstyle they want to use.
Shape of Dreams was released on Sept. 11, 2025. It currently has a very positive rating on Steam. The game is currently 20% off until Sept. 25, 2025.
