The studio of former Disco Elysium developers, Dark Math Games, announced the rebranding of its forthcoming debut project XXX Nightshift: Xenia’s Speech into Tangerine Antarctic and its reconstruction into a third-person RPG from the initially planned isometric Disco Elysium-style view.

While the studio hasn’t disclosed the reason for the shift, it may be related to the recently revealed Disco Elysium spiritual successor, Zero Parades, from the game’s original studio, ZA/UM, and two more projects from former ZA/UM devs, Hopetown from Longdue and a yet-unnamed project from Summer Eternal.

The detective RPG will feature a special Marafet Calculations system, which will allow players to alter in-game time and space to gain deeper insights and discover connections while investigating.
