Key points

  1. Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090/5080 Founders Edition GPUs have disappeared from Nvidia Marketplace.
  2. The delisting led to rumors of the discontinuation of these RTX 50 series graphics cards.
  3. Nvidia states that the GPUs remain in production, and removal was due to out-of-stock conditions.

Nvidia removed the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Founders Edition GPUs from its online store, fueling EOL rumors. The company now states that the graphics cards remain in production, the availability of Founders Edition GPU models fluctuates, and is currently out of stock, with listings returning once inventory is replenished.

Across most regional Nvidia stores, the GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition card disappeared from the online catalog. In some regions, the RTX 5080 Founders Edition GPU also stopped appearing, while the RTX 5070 Founders Edition stayed listed at MSRP. AIB partners’ models remained available. The changes happened within a short window and did not update in the same way across different regions.

Because the pages were removed rather than marked as out of stock, the gap looked unusual to regular buyers and price trackers. That difference sparked talk about a possible end of life for the RTX 50 Founders Edition and speculation about a refresh. The effect was amplified by tight supply since launch and by regional store pages that refresh on their own schedules.

Nvidia’s comment to Wccftech

Nvidia told Wccftech that GeForce RTX 50 series Founders Edition GPUs remain in production. The company notes that these limited-edition video cards occasionally go out of stock and are replenished in the store when inventory becomes available. The statement confirms the brief disappearance of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 listings as a stock event rather than an end-of-life decision.

Nvidia typically leaves product pages up and updates the label to “out of stock”. Taking the pages down entirely is unusual, so the change stood out to regular buyers and trackers. This fueled speculation about a discontinuation or a refresh soon, even though it was a question of inventory timing.

Wccftech reports that the RTX 50 Super series is not launching anytime soon. According to their sources, Nvidia has not finalized a launch schedule, add-in board partners have not been briefed, and the current RTX 50 cards remain in full production.

Recent pricing movement reflects a standard ramp, with original RTX 50 models only now settling around MSRP, rather than a pre-launch clear-out. In that context, brief Founders Edition delistings align with stock timing rather than a refresh plan.

A Super lineup for RTX 50 series GPUs will arrive at some point, but there is no credible signal for a near-term window. Until Nvidia announces a schedule, treat store changes and rumor timelines with caution.

Verified Priority Access is Nvidia’s invite system for Founders Edition restocks in the US and a few other countries. To curb bots and scalping, and to smooth out FE GPU drops, the company expanded its VPA program to more European countries in August, around Gamescom 2025. Selected customers receive invitations to purchase Founders Edition cards at MSRP during restock windows. If you want to buy an FE graphics card at list price, this is currently the most reliable path.
