Hoyoverse’s take on Pokémon, Honkai: Nexus Anima, sets first beta test dates

Honkai: Nexus Anima has set dates for its first beta test, titled Nexus Bond Test, from Sept. 17 to Sept. 23, 2025.
The beta test of the urban fantasy RPG, blending spirit companions, auto chess-style combat and immersive exploration mechanics, will be available for users on iOS and Windows PC.
According to an announcement posted on the game’s X account, official Nexus Bond testers will begin receiving notifications starting today, Sept. 15, 2025.
The Nexus Bond Test will be available only in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
Officially revealed by its developer and publisher Hoyoverse on Aug. 29, 2025, the game features five protagonists to choose from — Nanafey, Hua, Cassio Rolex, Maple Manybell and Kiana — along with 66 Nexus Anima creatures, with only 32 being revealed at the time of writing.
Anima’s major stats are Aspect (Love, Satiation, Hate, Light, Memory, War, Change, Beauty, Peace, Right, Insatiability, Competition, Regret, Weakness, Pride), energy reserve measured in joules and Trait (Gladiator, Striker, Explorer, Protector, Dark, Blaster, Mastermind, Hothead, Cherubim, Mascot).
