Hades II will release out of Early Access with Version 1.0 on Sept. 25, 2025, according to the launch trailer, which was posted on Sept. 12, 2025.
The game will land on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as Windows and macOS PCs via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Developed and published by Supergiant Games, the roguelike dungeon crawler Hades II serves as a sequel to 2020’s Hades and follows the story of Melinoë, Princess of the Underworld and sister to the protagonist of the first game, Zagreus. She aims to defeat the Titan of Time, Chronos, who has returned to enact revenge on all gods and mortals who opposed him in the past and has taken Melinoë’s family prisoner.
As of the time of writing, the early access version of Hades II has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 63,894 reviews and a peak of 103,567 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
On top of that, Hades II was awarded “Most Promising Game (Independent Game)” at the UCG Game Awards in 2024.
