Dying Light: The Beast Celebrates 1 Million Pre-Orders

After surpassing 1 million preorders for Dying Light: The Beast, developer and publisher Techland decided to move the release date up by a day. The Dying Light: The Beast release date is now officially Sept. 18, 2025, from the previously announced Sept. 19, 2025.
The title is slated to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Though this day early release is to be commemorated, especially in light of the 1 million preorder milestone, it is worth noting that Techland originally scheduled the game to release on Aug. 22 and chose to delay the title weeks ago.

Dying Light: The Beast was originally planned to be downloadable content for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The now standalone game is set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods, following protagonist Kyle Crane. After enduring 13 years of cruel experimentation, Crane seeks revenge against his wrongdoers.
