On Sept. 4, 2025, PlayStation announced that it will allow players to stream the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls online and post beta footage. The developers also clarified that “the Beta Products are and will continue to be confidential information belonging to SIE and/or the Licensor’s as set forth in the Beta Program at PlayStation Terms.”
It’s unclear what products the developers are talking about, but they added that they are waiting for the Terms to be updated to “clarify confidentiality obligations for future Beta Products.”
In August 2025, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls revealed that it will hold a closed beta test on the PlayStation 5. Interested players will have to register for PlayStation’s Beat Program and wait for an invitation to be sent to their email. The closed beta will start on Sept. 5 and will last until Sept. 7.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a fighting game that features fan favorite superheroes from the Marvel universe, such as Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Star-Lord. The game is expected to release sometime in 2026 for the PC and PlayStation 5. The game was playable at Evo Vegas 2025.
