A report published by Insider Gaming revealed that Ubisoft is targeting a late 2026 release date for the upcoming Rayman remake project that’s currently in development at Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan.
Interest in the Rayman franchise shot up once again after the official X account of the game uploaded a short video on Sept. 2, 2025, updating its fans that the franchise is still alive and well, and that they are creating something.
However, Loic Gounon, the brand producer of Rayman, also mentioned that fans shouldn’t expect news anytime soon from them. He quickly followed this up by saying that the developers will be sharing “exclusive concept art, behind-the-scenes developer interviews, monthly giveaways, amazing fan creations, and much more” in the following months.
Back in May 2025, Gaming.News reported that there were two deleted job listings for a “prestigious AAA title” in the Rayman franchise. The job listings were for a 3D gameplay animator and a senior game designer.
The last mainline Rayman game that was released was Rayman Legends for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita. The game was received very well, earning a “Universal Acclaim” rating on Metacritic. The game was released in 2013.
