  1. OPN list with the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F CPUs leaked on X.
  2. Later, processors were spotted on the retail website with initial pricing of $217.84 and $294.14.
  3. Some specifications had already been revealed earlier via Geekbench test and Asus compatibility data.

AMD’s Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F CPUs emerge in retail listings following a leak. Priced at $217.84 and $294.14 (figures are likely not final), these budget Zen 5 chips target AM5 systems with dedicated GPUs, rounding out the Ryzen 9000 lineup.

Known hardware insider momomo_us posted a list with OPN codes for yet-unannounced AMD Ryzen chips utilizing the Zen 5 architecture: consumer desktop Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F CPUs. There are three other processors designed for non-gaming use cases (indicated by the prefix “PRO”), which fall outside our scope.

Shortly after, these processors were found on retailer ShopBLT’s website (Bottom Line Telecommunications, Inc.). According to the product cards, prices are $217.84 for the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F CPU and $294.14 for the AMD Ryzen 7 9700F CPU. As indicated by the suffix “F”, these processors do not include an integrated graphics processor (iGPU) and are designed for builds that utilize a discrete graphics card. The price before the announcement may be temporary.

According to leaks from the Geekbench database and the Asus CPU support page, respectively, the Ryzen 5 9500F features 6 cores/12 threads, a 65 W TDP, 3.8/5.0 GHz base/boost frequency, and a total of 38 MB L2+L3 cache, while the Ryzen 7 9700F features 8 cores/16 threads, a 65 W TDP, and a base clock of 3.8 GHz. AMD has not officially confirmed these stats and has not yet announced the launch date of the new CPUs.

In Geekbench, the Ryzen 5 9500F scored 3,122 points in single-core and 14,369 points in multi-core, which is very close to the scores of the Ryzen 5 9600/9600X. If confirmed, the 9500F would round out the budget options of AMD’s AM5-based Ryzen 9000 lineup for gaming builds with a separate video card.

The Ryzen 9000 series CPUs are desktop Zen 5 chips for the AM5 socket, featuring DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support, and are compatible with older 600-series motherboards after a BIOS update. The lineup includes 6-16 core and 12-32 thread variants. A highlight of the roster is the X3D model, which features an additional L3 cache (3D V-Cache) to enhance in-game performance.
