The PlayStation 6 handheld supposedly has a custom AMD chip, codenamed Canis, using next-generation architectures such as the Zen 6c and RDNA 5. The Canis is said to have four Zen 6c cores and two Zen 6 Low Power cores; the PlayStation 6 handheld is claimed to support backwards compatibility with PlayStation 5 and 4 games.

Skepticism is inevitable regarding the nature of the leaks. The Nintendo Switch 2 costs $450 and provides significantly lower power than the alleged PlayStation 6 handheld. The Nintendo Switch 2 has 12 GB of RAM, and despite not being the most impressive hardware on the market, the console broke numerous sales records for gaming consoles
