Lost Soul Aside, developed by Ultizero Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, released globally on Aug. 29, 2025.
Following a delay, the game was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam three months later than its initially planned launch date. Steam users can try the game for free with a demo version.
Built on Unreal Engine 4, the single-player souls-like slasher allows the player to assume control over Kaser, aided by his companion Arena, a character capable of transforming into weapons and other elements useful in battles and throughout the journey, as they embark on a quest to rescue Kaser’s sister, Louisa, and save humanity from the Voidrax, mysterious invaders from across dimensions.
Lost Soul Aside’s aesthetic was heavily inspired by Final Fantasy XV, while the title’s hack-and-slash combat takes inspiration from Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry.
Development of Lost Soul Aside began around the end of 2014 and was originally conceived as a solo project by Yang Bing (the title’s director and producer), but it evolved into a full team effort over the years.
The PC version of Lost Soul Aside supports Nvidia DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and advanced ray tracing features.
