Chants of Sennaar begins with the protagonist awakening from a sarcophagus placed at the ground level of a large, spiraling ziggurat, where each level is home to a distinct caste of people with its own culture and language. The game tasks players with deciphering each caste’s language and using the knowledge gained to help them ascend to the next level.
