Delta Force reached a new peak of 210,413 concurrent players on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, during its first weekend following the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Aug. 19, 2025.
The game was initially launched on April 21, 2025, for Windows PC, as well as for iOS and Android smartphones.
As of the time of writing, the title features 13 maps, 11 operators, over 50 weapons, 11 vehicles, cross-play, and cross-progression, the game also utilizes Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE), a kernel-level anti-cheat system owned and developed by Tencent.
The story of the free-to-play first-person tactical shooter Delta Force, set in 2035, unfolds as a large corporation, Haavk, attempts to take over a fictional North African region, Ahsarah, and players, who assume the roles of military operators working for an international paramilitary group called the Global Threat Initiative, seek to foil Haavk’s plans.
Notably, Delta Force was inspired by the 2001 Black Hawk Down movie, directed by Ridley Scott, and the 2003 Delta Force: Black Hawk Down shooter. That is why the game features single-player and cooperative modes closely based on the film and set in 1993, when United States forces participated in the Somali conflict.
