The upcoming DLC, set in the 9th-century oasis city of AlUla, located in Saudi Arabia, will bring a new story chapter and missions, along with gameplay improvements for the base game and the new location.
Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft, the 13th major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the successor to 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Mirage was launched on Oct. 5, 2023.
The title was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, along with iOS smartphones (specifically iPhone 15 Pro) and iPadOS devices. On top of that, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is compatible with a tie-in haptic vest, a wireless skinsuit that registers movement from the upper body and arms, designed by the gaming company Owo, allowing players to feel the blows missed by the protagonist in real life.
Set in 9th-century Baghdad, the capital and largest city of Iraq, during the Islamic Golden Age, specifically during the Anarchy at Samarra, the game’s story centers on Basim Ibn Ishaq, a street thief who becomes a member of the Hidden Ones.
As of the time of writing, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with 7,597 reviews and an all-time peak of 7,870 players, according to SteamDB.
Notably, the title became available on Xbox Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for members of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Aug. 7, 2025.
