Unlike the Battlefield games, Hell Let Loose is a much more tactical take on large-scale first-person shooter battles. Players are expected to be more methodical in their approach, making things slower-paced than what other people might expect.

The developers clarified that they will still support Hell Let Loose even after the release of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. They said that they made a second team to make sure that the studio can support both of the games after the latter’s release.

Team17 said that the reason Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a standalone game is due to its full upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. This not only improved performance, visuals and gameplay systems but also allowed the developers to “upgrade and overhaul many core systems.”

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is expected to be released in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The developers said that they will give a specific release date closer to the game’s launch.
