Hollow Knight hit a new all-time peak of 23,840 concurrent players within 24 hours after the announcement of the launch date for its sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, on Aug. 21, 2026.
Developed and published by Team Cherry, Hollow Knight was released for Windows, Linux, and macOS in early 2017 and later ported to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2018. The game is also playable on Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It is worth noting, that after release Team Cherry supported the game with four free expansions.
