Extraction Action-RPG Gods, Death & Reapers Launches Closed Alpha; PvE Modes to be Added Later

At the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025, developers Wolcen Studio showed the new trailer of Project Pantheon, revealing its release name to be Gods, Death & Reapers. Alongside the new trailer, a closed alpha was also launched by the developers.
Gods, Death & Reapers gameplay resembles Diablo’s, but as an extraction RPG. Players are dropped into a realm and are expected to loot the area for gear and other things. Just like other extraction games, the main objective is to get out of the realm with all of your loot intact.
While the game’s main mode is extraction, the developers said that there will be a PvE co-op mode, as well as a single-player story mode for those who prefer to take things a little slower. The aforementioned modes currently don’t have a release date, but the developers mentioned that they “will be added in an upcoming update.”
Players can now participate in the game’s closed alpha by simply heading over to the game’s Steam page and clicking on “Request Access.” Gods, Death & Reapers’ first closed alpha happened earlier this year on Jan. 30.
