Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on Sept. 4, 2025, as was announced via a special announcement video on the YouTube channel of the game’s developer on Aug. 21, 2025.
Developed and published by Team Cherry, the sequel to 2017’s Hollow Knight is slated for release on Windows, Linux and macOS PCs, along with Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In Hollow Knight: Silksong, players control Hornet, the princess-protector of Hallownest, as she embarks on her next adventure in a new kingdom filled with over 200 different foes and more than 40 bosses, according to the title’s release trailer.
As of the time of writing, the first title in the series has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 383,474 reviews and an all-time peak of 20,324 players, according to SteamDB.
