Escape from Tarkov’s version 1.0 will be released on November 15, 2025. The announcement was encrypted in a quest line that dropped in the game with a new patch, and confirmed by the CEO of Battlestate Games later.
This week, Battlestate Games updated hardcore first-person shooter Escape from Tarkov to version 0.16.9.0 and teased the release through a promo code: developers launched a gift for PvP accounts with the code RELEASEISCOMING (activated through the official website/launcher), and the system message “Soon”.
The new patch also introduced an in-game event and quest line, featuring a Hideout minigame called “TarGrad Tales”. Turns out, this game contained a hidden QR code, which leads to the YouTube video with the title “Prepare for Escape” and Nikita Buyanov, head of the studio, playing a game developer in the live action trailer, personally teasing the possible Escape from Tarkov release date—November 15, 2025.
Shortly after the community found the teaser, Nikita confirmed the release date on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore PvPvE extraction shooter for PC developed and published by Battlestate Games. It’s a highly realistic military simulator, self-described as a Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator (HECS). The game has been in beta since July 2017; after eight years of beta testing, the team is preparing a full release of version 1.0.
