The developers clarified that this will be a multistep plan. After the initial implementation of the CPU and GPU optimization patch, the developers said that it will be followed by a “second stage of mitigation measures afterwards.”

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom’s newest addition to the Monster Hunter franchise. The game was released on Feb. 28, 2025. The game was received positively by critics and players alike, but as the game progressed, players found out that the game was poorly optimized on PC.
This has resulted in the game currently having a “Mostly Negative” review score on Steam. The problem has gotten out of hand recently, to the point where Capcom canceled a Monster Hunter Wilds optimization lecture at CEDEC 2025 due to fear for the safety of its staff.
