Gears of War: Reloaded and Dragon Age: The Veilguard to Join Xbox Game Pass Along With Some Goats

Gears of War: Reloaded, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and three more titles will join Xbox Game Pass by the end of August 2025.

The first goat game that will become available on Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Standard members on Aug. 20, 2025, is Goat Simulator: Remastered from Coffee Stain.

The reworked version of the open-ended third-person perspective game in which the player controls a goat called Pilgor includes the base title along with the Goat City Bay, Goat MMO, Goat Z, PAYDAY, Waste of Space, and Buck to School DLCs.

Created by Atlus, Persona 4 Golden will become available on Windows PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S for members of Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Standard, and PC Game Pass on Aug. 20, 2025.

Chronologically, the fifth installment in the Persona series takes place in 2011, in the fictional rural Japanese town of Inaba, and follows a high school student named Yu Narukami, who has recently moved from the city to attend school and, in his first days in town, discovers the TV World with his new friends.

Developed by Okomotive and published by Panic title, Herdling, will drop on Windows PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S for members of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Aug. 21, 2025.

The game allows players to head out on an alpine expedition with a herd of mythical beasts, forging the way to the mystery at the summit.

An enhanced port based on the Ultimate Edition of the first installment of the series, Gears of War: Reloaded will deploy on Windows PC, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox Series X|S on Aug. 26, 2025, for members of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Remaster delivers all post-launch content for the original title, including a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps, plus characters and cosmetics.

The game primarily focuses on Marcus Fenix and his comrades in Delta Squad: Dominic “Dom” Santiago, Augustus Cole and Damon Baird.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard, developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts, the latest installment of the Dragon Age series, is coming to Windows PC, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox Series X|S on Aug. 28, 2025, for members of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The fourth major installment in the Dragon Age franchise, and the sequel to 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, allows players to step into the shoes of Rook, the hero tasked with leading the Veilguard against ancient gods who have escaped from their long imprisonment.

As for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in-game benefits, the Delta Force: Immortal Supplies Bundle and Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis: August Member Monthly Bonus became available on Aug. 19, 2025.

While new games are coming on board of Microsoft’s subscription service, Ben 10: Power Trip, Borderlands 3, Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, Sea of Stars, and This War of Mine: Final Cut will leave the Xbox Game Pass library on Aug. 31, 2025.
