A seemingly prematurely published video ad for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was spotted and captured by X (formerly Twitter) user HDNLVLY on Aug. 19, 2025, the day of the game’s planned worldwide gameplay reveal.
As of the time of writing, the video on the user’s post has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner but remained viewable on CharlieIntel’s X account.
The video confirms the previously leaked release date of the game, showing in the last scene the phrase “Beta Early Access’ and the date Nov. 14.
The ad also showcases the Xbox Game Pass logo, which can imply that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be part of the subscription service from Microsoft Gaming. Notably, the video didn’t contain logos of PlayStation or Steam.
Besides that, the short video ad featured a huge mech walking toward the running soldiers.
Co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision, the 22nd installment of the franchise and the eighth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
The story of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will follow the Black Ops team led by David Mason, set in 2035 following the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
