Marvel Rivals players were reporting issues with the game client freezing after enabling Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation and GPU crashes during gameplay. The initial bug reports were publicly acknowledged on Aug. 8, and on Aug. 19, the developers announced a hotfix update that significantly reduces the likelihood of the issues occurring.
The team asked the community to contact the support team if similar technical issues continue to arise, stating that they are “committed to addressing technical issues raised by the players.” Prior to the hotfix, the developers asked players to roll back their driver update to version 577.00 to temporarily correct the issue.
Marvel Rivals reportedly can create its own Marvel heroes, according to an article written by MP1st. During the Marvel Rivals Ignite tournament, MPst asked game director Guangguan if original characters might be introduced to the game. Guangguan supposedly answered, “Yes, we are allowed to introduce original characters in Marvel Rivals.”
Marvel Rivals spawned a first-of-its-kind comic known as MARVEL SWIMSUIT SPECIAL: FRIENDS, FOES & RIVALS #1. This was the first time Marvel Rivals characters were directly celebrated in a comic book; the swimsuit special was an annual one-shot featuring artwork of Marvel characters.
The recent special celebrated the in-game summer event, through the summer swimsuit event, with the comic’s designs being directly ported into NetEase’s hero shooter.
