Peak Fixes Invisible Walls, Strange Gem and Dynamites in Small Patch

On August 12, 2025, PEAK developers issued a few hotfixes intended to address issues that arose during the MESA update. This includes invisible walls and the performance issues that dynamites cause after exploding.
Aside from the aforementioned fixes, the developers also fixed a couple of other issues. Here’s the full list of everything changed in patch v1.22a of PEAK:
- Fixed “Strange Gem” not having the correct name.
- Fixed issue where dynamite would not explode if placed in a backpack.
- Fixed issue where dynamite explosion caused performance issues.
- Fixed issue where if the hosting player was dead, sometimes new backpacks would de-spawn when lighting campfires.
- Fixed issue where 24 Karat badge would not trigger correctly.
PEAK‘s latest major patch, the MESA update, added a new biome to the game, the Mesa. It replaced the Alpine, and the developers mentioned that there will be a random map rotation in the future, which will feature both Alpine and Mesa. In addition to that, there are also 10 new badges added, and several items along with it.
The game is seeing a lot of success on Steam with around 130,000 players currently playing the game as of writing. PEAK was released on June 16, 2025, and was received favorably by critics, according to Metacritic.
