Bandai Namco Achieves Record-High Q1 Results

On Aug. 5, 2025, Bandai Namco revealed that it has achieved “record-high first quarter results,” boasting 300.4 billion Japanese yen ($2 billion) in net sales over 280.6 billion yen ($1.8 billion) year-over-year. Additionally, the company also mentioned Gundam’s growth due to “cross-group initiatives.”
Toys and hobby remain Bandai Namco’s most profitable segment, with the digital segment following closely. According to Bandai Namco’s complementary materials regarding the financial results, “One Piece” remains the most popular intellectual property, followed by “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Dragon Ball.” The company also added that Tamagotchi and Pretty Cure! have remained consistently popular in the toy category.
On the digital business side, which is where video games fall, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal and Elden Ring: Nightreign both got an honorable mention. It also seems like the company is looking forward to Little Nightmares 3’s release in October 2025. Bandai Namco’s aim for the digital segment is to strengthen its revenue base with core and new titles.
The financial report also revealed that Elden Ring: Nightreign has sold more than 5 million copies. Recently, the game was datamined to have an upcoming game mode called The Deep of the Night, which will introduce a matchmaking rating to the game.
