Developed by Cold Iron Studio in collaboration with Disney’s 20th Century Studios, the game is a standalone sequel to the original Alien trilogy.
The game became available on Xbox Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC for members of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a cooperative third-person survival shooter that allows players to battle through hordes of different types of Xenomorphs and customize their character and gear.
As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 20,111 reviews and an all-time peak of 15,568 players, according to SteamDB.
The prequel story to the game’s narrative is told in the book “Aliens: Infiltrator” by Weston Ochse, published by Titan Books. The novel sheds light on the events that lead up to the beginning of Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
Besides Xbox and PC, the game is also available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
