On Aug. 5, 2025, Stormgate developers Frost Giant Studios released a lengthy patch note for the game’s official release, as well as a new roadmap for fans to be excited about. Stormgate has been in early access since last July and has only exited it recently.
In the aforementioned roadmap, the developers are planning to add more units in the near future and updates on the Celestial faction. Additionally, sound improvements are also one of the things the developers want to improve soon.
For the future, there will be a co-op overhaul and relaunch and support for the Ashes of Earth co-op and Proving Grounds, which are AI Placement Matches, according to the infographic. The developers did not provide an estimated date regarding the expected release of these features.
The patch note is very lengthy, covering everything that was changed and updated, in addition to the implementation of the full campaign. Pricing and bundle adjustments have also been touched upon by it, saying that the three paid campaign chapters will receive a 10% price reduction.
Of course, just like any other live service game, there is also a plethora of balance updates that fill the patch notes. The Celestials have received the most changes, just looking at how much space it took in the notes.
Stormgate is a real-time strategy game being made by former Blizzard developers. The game is only currently available on Steam.
