Overwatch 2’s Nerf collaboration rewards players with a themed sprfary, player icon, foam dart weapon, a foam dart weapon charm, 40k Battle Pass XP, and Tracer’s Gelfire Pro weapon skin. The event takes place from August 5 to 18, providing a limited-time game mode: NERF or Nothin’.
NERF or Nothin’ is a free-for-all eight-player fast-paced game mode; the first player to hit 20 eliminations wins. The hero choice is randomized, with Mercy and Lifeweaver not available. Every elimination earns the player a new hero.
After three deaths, the hero choice rotates with no repeats allowed. All heroes have an 80% cooldown reduction, allowing constant action; Ultimate charges stick around after death, but swapping heroes causes Ult charge to change to 15% regardless of the previous charge.
Maps included in the exclusive game mode are: Chateau, Petra, Kanezaka, Malevento, King’s Row, Hollywood, Dorado, Eichenwalde, Blizzard World, and Paris.

In addition to the free rewards, limited-time cosmetics enter the store with a lineup of NERF weapon skins.
Overwatch 2 Wuyang, the newest hero to be included within the roster, is scheduled to release on August 26 at 11 am PT. The weekend trial for the hero takes place from August 14 to 18, scheduled as a part of the mid-season patch for Season 17. The character was previously codenamed Aqua and is the twelfth installment in the hero support role.
